Today my son started his summer journal. I thought this would be a good way to help him develop his writing skills. We started with his first entry. The prompt I suggested was to describe his experience in Disney and Sea World. I didn't have to ask him to begin he was excited to describe the awesome time we had!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have your son write about his summer experience? It is easy to write about things that you have really enjoyed. I LOVE Disney World and can just imagine all the things that your son can write about, and then that journal can serve an incredible recorder of his memories that he can go back to a relife that wonderful experience. I wish I had thought of that, my son is on a six-week camping trip with his Mimi and Poppa traveling in an RV up to Washington State. I sent him with books and a camera, but now I wish I would have also sent hime with a special journal to record his experiences. Thank you so much for blogging :)

Maria,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! It's not too late for your son the begin his journal. Actually, instead of him inserting his input into a journal pad. He can journal through the use of his camera. This can later be made into a journal where he narrates his experience through photos.
